rolling hills asylumSharon writes about the photo:

"I was using a Sony CyberShot H9 with NightShot and an extra external IR Light made by one of my key volunteers and tech guru, Dave Smith of ParanormalSixx, the camera was set on NightShot.

"The photos were taken Tuesday, April 3, 2012 a little after midnight. I was on the second floor east wing -- "Shadow People Hallway" -- of Rolling Hills Asylum (RHA) with my friend Sandy MacLeod (member of New England Ghost and founder of Footsteps Paranormal) and two of my RHA key volunteers, Scott and Amy Nash (Momentum Paranormal). I also had my Frank's Box #87 set up and running off and on throughout the evening. In addition, we had my Mel 8704R ATTD, several one-inch mag lights, audio recorders, video recorder, and Scott had a full-spectrum camera, too. (I am having all of them check for any additional evidence that may be relevant.)

"We were set up on the far side of the Shadow Hallway, right outside the solarium, where "Jack" paces back and forth behind the closed doors, facing the West Wing ramp and infirmary (about 150 - 200 foot distance, I'm guessing). We had all been hearing noises... footsteps... sounds of furniture moving... distant voices, seeing shadows, all the usual activity, including hits on the mag lights and Mel Meter.

"I used to be the type of person who would take 300 to 500 photos a night on investigations, but owning RHA, it's impossible to keep up with the evidence, let alone have a large enough hard drive to store all of it. So now I tend to enjoy and focus in on my personal experiences and use my camera and recorder judiciously. That being said, we kept seeing so many shadows passing back and forth across the infirmary doorway and heading down the hallway toward us that when it became super dark I started clicking off a few photos, pretty confident that it was Roy Crouse, our 7-foot tall shadow man. Roy was born on March 4, 1890 and passed away from a heart attack on April 11, 1942 at the age of 52. I encountered Roy for the first time on my first visit to RHA on June 12, 2008 and he has been my favorite ever since. We seem to have a special connection. I often receive EVP from him and also clear conversations from him via my Frank's Box #87.

"I believe that Roy was showing himself that evening in response to the earlier activities in RHA. I think he was letting me know all was A-OK and all of RHA's spirits were feeling safe again.

"I will check my audio from Tuesday night (as I said, I'm a bit behind) and will check with Amy, Scott, and Sandy to see if they have anything to add."

Ok...there is more!

One more set....

We are debunking the light anomaly (right side of pics) as either a fussy/hair or just simple flash artifact of some sort since it is in multiple pictures.

Below is a picture of a resident of Rolling Hills when it was the Genesee County Nursing Home.  Could this possibly be the resident we are seeing in the window?

Other Evidence

Frank's Box Experiment

I wanted to share the results of an experiment I've been doing at Rolling Hills Asylum in conjunction with George Lopez, of Port Orange Paranormal Society on March 5, 2011 (the night after Roy's birthday) via his Blog Talk show - DEAD AIR.
The experiment consisted of George and I conducting a live dual spirit box/Frank's box session broadcasting live from Florida. George has four people in the spirit world whom he communicates with regularly:

Amanda - former team member who was killed in a car accident 2 yrs ago
Gabriel - Amanda's friend who is in spirit world and helped to cross Amanda
Collette - George's Spirit Guide
Michael - George's Spirit Guide

George communicated to all four, through his Spirit Box live on the radio. I then called in from RHA and put him on speaker phone as I used my Frank's Box (#87) in Shadow People Hallway. Both FL and RHA recorded the session. George then sent his four spirit contacts to RHA where he provided test questions - many of the answers we'd heard audibly (some were clearer during playback). For instance, George asked Amanda to say Rolling Hills Asylum three times if she had made it up here - and she did! We heard her say "Rolling Hills. Rolling Hills. Rolling Hills." Amazing!

While in the Shadow people hallway I had asked the spirits to call out one of our names (one of the living) in the hall, "Sharon Coyle" was heard clearly by all. When I asked for a second name - we couldn't hear it audibly - but upon play back you hear "Damn it! That's who I know!".

The experiment consisted of three parts: the 1st part - talking to George's spirits in FLA; the 2nd part was sending George's people to RHA and communicating with them and the RHA spirits together at RHA; and finally, the 3rd part was sending George's spirits back home to FLA accompanied by Roy and communicating with them via George's Spirit box.

Over all we had over 200 direct responses! This included, interactions between living and spirit as well as interactions between spirit and spirit - all in a three hout period! It was truly amazing!!

Below are links to the original three hour broadcast (the pod cast archive), as well as consecutive re-broadcasts of the original show - broken down in segments. This was done so the clips, played sequentially and unedited - could be heard and discussed by the listeners and people in the chat.

Additionally, I have provided 32 clips (in sequential order) for those of you who don't have three hours to listen to the show in it's entirety.

If anyone has any questions or comments, please feel free to email either myself via info@RollingHillsAsylum.com or George Lopez via radioshowdeadair@gmail.com
